Trinity Church is one of the oldest churches nation. We couldn't go in as it's proximity
to "Ground Zero" made it an ideal place to service the needs of those working in the rescue efforts.
It is a beautiful building but somehow it seemed lost in it's surroundings.

Another view of the church.

Security was pretty visible around the Stock Exchange.

A beautiful facade on the building. Wall Street is right there, and for those
who were paying attention to Rita's writing, the answer is... Wall Street is built
on top of the spot where the original wall of the fort at "New Amsterdam" was,
from before the Dutch turned it over to the English who renamed it "New York".

Atop the Empire State Building, which is once again the tallest building in Manhattan.

Rita caught me shooting as fast as I could before the light was gone.
That would be New Jersey that the sun is setting behind.

The view North with Central Park in view. Our Hotel was two blocks South
and about four blocks West of the South West corner of the park. The blocks
running North to South are about a third the length of those running East to West.
You can see that pattern in some of these shots from the top of the Empire State Building.

Looking South toward Wall Street and the World Trade Center. The right side
of the skyline should have been dominated by the twin towers, which were close to twice
the hight of any other building in this skyline.

Caught some traffic by looking over the edge of the building down onto Broadway.
In these shots, the street running diagonally from the South (left)
to the North (to the right) is Broadway. It ran about two Blocks
from the Empire State Building and also about that from our Hotel. But Our hotel
was really about eight or ten blocks West of here as well as about ten North.
